Today’s tip might sound a bit odd, but hear me out. Arguments often spark creative routes. Exchanging critical thoughts and rhetorical questions about one’s art, work, and personal life will move you out from your block phase for sure.
Of course, heated conversations are not something that I recommend to anyone to engage in just out of boredom. However, if life throws you lemons than use them to make lemonade.
DAY 155 TIP: Focus on what you learned from disagreements as opposed to dwelling on your hurt and block.
A writing exercise: every morning, before doing anything else, simply write. About what? Anything and everything that enters your thoughts. Put pen to paper and don’t lift it until you fill up three pages.
These are pages not meant to be read by anyone, because their purpose is merely to free the mind and liberate the writer from self-imposed blocks on the inner voice.
DAY 154 TIP: Make your “morning pages” writing an ongoing practice.
